Easy Lentil Soup with Red Beans Recipe: Healthy Bachelor Food

This is a meal my wife and I enjoy about twice a month. It's a nice lazy dish that serves about three, but both of us are able to polish it off ourselves. If you're single, you can enjoy the leftovers for lunch.



  1. In a saucepan, add 1 can of Amy's Organic Lentil (or Lentil Vegetable) Soup, low sodium
  2. Add 1 can of red beans with liquid drained
  3. Add two links of Pederson's Natural Farms Andouille Chicken Sausage (optional)
  4. Heat and serve
  5. Serve over brown rice and enjoy!
I suggest the Pederson's brand of sausage because it is low fat (Spa Leonard Approved) and nitrite/nitrate free (Double Spa Leonard Approved).
